1 used in negative sentences and in questions instead of somewhere:
I can't see it anywhere. * Did you go anywhere interesting? * Many of these animals are not found anywhere else. * He's never been anywhere outside Britain.
HELPNOTE The difference between anywhere and somewhere is the same as the difference between any and some. Look at the notes there.
2 in, at or to any place, when it does not matter where:
Put the box down anywhere. * An accident can happen anywhere.
anywhere pronoun:
I don't have anywhere to stay. * Do you know anywhere I can buy a second-hand computer?
