پايتىما

ئۇنىۋېرسال Footcloth\ ئۇنىۋېرسال n. Footcloth: پايتىما يۆگىمەك to put on foot clot پايتىما قىلماق to trample on پايتىمىسىنى تەتۈر ئورىغان ئادام sby who puts on footcloths backwards (un lucky person). Before sockes became widely used in Xinjiang, men and women wrapped their feet in footcloths before putting on boots. This term is also occasionally used in Uyghur literature to refer to the bandges used in binding some Chinese women's feet before 1911.
